i have mignolet moreno coutinho. but they will all play the derby so no worries. you'd fancy them to score well against a poor everton team carrying knocks.

the key thing to take from all this is that for their next double gwk there is no doubt. klopp will do the same thing again.

Lukaku, Lovren and FU**ING MOST NAILED LIVERPOOL PLAYER (Mignolet) not playing 1st game and 2 points between Lindgard and Fosu-Mensah. Also, the icing on the cake, Vardy scoring again after droping him for Lukaka. Best WC ever.

Klopp's selection is a joke and the work of a truly negative person. Only a total pessimist would bench that many of his starting XI in fear on injury.

Anyway, the luck of the donkey in ML trying to catch up to me is just phenomenal and I should've just bought in players to block him from getting lucky.

Klopp, a pessimist? that's a first.

He's navigating what is an outrageous fixture build up the best way he can, and it's working (so far), if the players who were rested today come back in and beat Everton midweek then he can't really be questioned.

No doubt it is annoying for fantasy managers but he's getting results and it won't change.

No seriously they are professional athletes that are getting paid millions. They have a job to do and switching out 90% of your team is a joke.

Damn Coutinho hasn't played in the last 2 league games.

Not this old chestnut. As if being paid more overcomes the laws of nature.

Indeed. There was always going to be rotation, and I told myself early on that I'm content with 75% of my (15x2) players playing. That said we can't really act like players such as Moreno, Fosu-Mensah, Origi and even Coutinho were set to start. I mean look at their player histories, very broken game minutes. Mignolet and perhaps Clyne not starting is an acceptable surprise, but most others not (Lukaku included, since he is carrying an injury). A DGW always means extra rotation risk (it really does come down to the laws of nature) and one should only consider the most certain starters to begin with.

Sure, some good news, but he is still ahead 15-2 since I changed them

Likewise, especially considering I sold Bolasie, and have double Arsenal defence! Cost at least 10 points in clean sheets (Sanchez captain too) alone, never mind any lost bonus..

Still happy so far overall though, despite some frustrations today.

Yea me too, I'm not doing so well by FISO standards but in my mini-league I may have this weeks gloating rights :D

And that matters a lot more!

palace goal was great. rival had beller cpt and it meant sanchez went from 0 bonus to 2. great break for those of us who went with him. happy with gabriel stealing a bonus too. hopefully sanchez can do better on thursday. hopefully the liverpool game will see another high scoring thriller for those of us with rom and co

Didn't realise Sanchez wasn't on for any bonus at that point! Offsets the lost points slightly. Also delighted with Gabriel. Not just for the sneaky unexpected bonus, but the fact he looks unlikely to lose his place any time soon now. Looked good today, I thought.

Yeah, and there was me fuming he didn't get 3 (and at the lost cleanie for Bellerin). Swings and roundabouts I guess.

I still think Sanchez was on for 2bp before the goal.

Plus if you triple captained him you lost 1x3 points for the cleanie. Almost as much as a normal decent clean sheet!

He was. On another point I currently have 24 pts on bench, my highest of the year and am playing TC. Having said that I probably wouldn't have picked 17 of those points if I had been planning BB.

Halfway through the DGW my issues have been:

-No Mingolet
-Sakho not starting
-Martial not starting
-Nasri injured

But, I avoided:

-Coleman injured
-Vardy red card
-No Coutinho
-No Fosu-Mensah
-No Clyne
-No Moreno
-No Milner

My issues are a little similar:

Nasri injured
Origi not starting & now injured
Coutinho not starting
Martial not starting

4 out of 10 let downs if we ignore a poor Payet.

Glad I have Aggy & Alexis :?

Still more games to come; think positive!

The following players did not start last weekend:
  • Fosu-Mensah
  • Lingard
  • Martial
  • Milner
  • Coutinho
And it could get even worse for me if the above players only receive limited playing time for their next game, coupled with the following possibilities:
  • Per Mertesacker replaces Gabriel for Arsenals' game against West Brom
  • de Bruyne is benched for the start of City's next game against Newcastle
  • Mangala starts City's game against Newcastle alongside Vincent Kompany, due to his superior form, in preference over Otamendi

So it turns out all those dull folk warning against going all out for doublers with the danger of rotation and missing key players with single gameweeks were probably right.

Don't anyone tell them though, they may get big headed!

If only I'd had the foresight to keep Alli over Mahrez too, but that's probably pushing the hindsight!

It goes against DGW37 plans but thinking to get Alli + Alder or another defender/Lloris given form and future fixture. Definitely, not worth it taking them out.
