Re: Game Week 20 Captain
I'm contemplating the idea of Vardy (C) at home to Bournemouth. He's gone from the most owned player in the game to a HUGE differential, especially amongst the serious players who all sold him for Kane or Aguero many weeks ago. Vardy hasn't scored in his last 3 matches, but they were Everton (A), Liverpool (A) and Man City (H), although he still got 2 assists against Everton and already has 15 goals this season. Time to punish the sellers

Giroud. Newcastle not the best travellers, Arsenal should win comfortably

Re: Game Week 20 Captain
Yeah I agree 100%. I'm one of those who can still feel the burn from last week after I switched it from Ozil in the last moments and got hurt in the rankings. I think Aguero is also being under-rated for this week, just coz he blanked last week, possible 60mins and perhaps due to Watford's tightness at the the back. But it's Aguero after all and doesn't really matter who's defending when he's in the mood/in form. It's Ozil, Ramsey or Aguero for me. I'd rather one of the latter 2 but Ozil seems the 'safe' option. If Aguero were guaranteed 90mins I'd prob go with him but another possible 60 mins is putting me off. Perhaps I'll flip a coin ...a 3 sided coin lolMav3rick wrote:I think that generally the threat from Ozil is looking overplayed this week. He's added more goals to his game, but he's more likely to get an assist and some BPs than a goal.
He will be my captain, but the lead in the poll is IMO exagerrated due to the feeling of loss or gain last week.

Re: Game Week 20 Captain
I'm secretly quite tempted by Ramsey too. Think he could do really well this week, but I'm not brave enough to take the punt and risk getting burnt again like last week. I'm hoping just owning him will be differential enough, and I've chosen him in the 'pick quick' side game just to sort of hedge my bets a little bit..d_manager wrote:Really tempted to take a bit of a punt on Ramsey this week rather than the favoured Ozil but a repeat of last GW could be quite bad given the polls...
Currently got Ramsey (c), Ozil (vc) but will probably switch them around.
Mahrez (C)
Kane (VC)
Locked in, for me.
PS; I also think Aguero could spring back into life this week, but for some reason I'm not really drawn to captaining him. I don't know why. If he does well today, he will get his turn in the back to back home games to come.

Think it's going to be Aguero (c), Mahrez (v) for me.
Newcastle has been best this season against the big sides and I think it will be a black and white bus parking so I'm going to avoid Ozil - though I am a bit worried by assists from set pieces, which we can't defend. Also think Spurs are likely to play conservatively again (especially with Dembele out) with Alli dropping deeper and deeper the more aggressive Everton are, leaving Kane more and more isolated and Everton more and more throttled. Watford vs City and Leicester vs Bournemouth I rekon will be quite open with all four sides confident enough to attack. Then again, I thought Leicester vs City would be a goalfest last week, and that Everton vs Stoke would be the tight one.
Good luck all.

Re: Game Week 20 Captain
I was really torn between Ozil and Mahrez, and felt compelled to go Ozil to mitigate risk.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't captain Aguero (or any man city player) in an away game right now.

Not to make anyone feel even worse, but that penalty miss cost us 18 points by my reckoning, assuming it would have earned him maximum bonus.

It probably cost us 20 actually, if we assume his GW score would have been 11.Notned wrote:Not to make anyone feel even worse, but that penalty miss cost us 18 points by my reckoning, assuming it would have earned him maximum bonus.
