My next oppo is ranked 1.2m but has used all his chips (except second wildcard) - unusual team in that he two Man City defenders and two Newcastle attacking players. I reckon I would probably beat him 7 or 8 weeks in 10 but as a one-off I could be in trouble if City keep a clean sheet and Newcastle trip Arsenal up.

Safely through 80-73.

Next up is yet another active team, 819k overall, but a whacking great 93pts last week. Has 9 seasons of history but never broken the top 100k. Has used up all chips except 2nd WC obviously. Assuming we both bench Alderweireld, 6 identical players. Big danger man for him is Arnautovic. In a quite frankly not very interesting twist of fate, both of us have our keepers playing each other this week. I'm sure he'll play De Gea over Fabianski, but I have to make a call on Butland or Myhill.

My opponent has a better OR than mine (he's in top 100k) and we have a very similar team (6 of the front 7 are the same, he captained Mahrez over my Ozil), so the difference will be made by the defence and captain performances

A guy in my ML lost to a team called Multiple Scorgasms last GW so I check your FPL link to see if it was you but your team name is nearly identical to mine

Edit: turns out he actually won and is still in the cup which is even more shocking

He captained Giroud, I captained Ozil.
