FFS projections have Sanchez higher than Lukaku, but then Lukaku has pens, betting odds slightly favour Lukaku to be an anytime scorer.

Will probably go with polls here I think and captain Lukaku.

People seem really averse to captaining Lukaku, even those who have ultimately decided to do so. Maybe it's because this is the first time I've ever captained him, but I feel quite confident.

Those odds arguably suggest that Sanchez was the best pick given his extra midfielder points, but so close to call between several options this week. Anyone who does well with their captaincy pick relative to others this week is going to be lucky.

In the long run planning usually makes it possible to own many of the players with big potential scores. If I owned all the big scorers and captained the wrong one most weeks, I'd probably still be quite happy. So you are going to pick good/bad captains over the long run in close situations like this but ideally one will own most of the big guns in most weeks, thus mitigating damage - or if one picks captain correct, having a stormer. I guess that's the idea in FPL.

However I agree with SWorm you can't have them all every week so if there's a couple you don't own who smash it and they too are captained heavily, you're likely screwed in a particular week.

That's still not a Liquid market Liquid!

Kane is available to back at 4.9 but there has been zero £ matched on him. You could well ask to back at say 5.3 and get that matched.
I'm sorry, but the odds you have quoted mean zilch at this moment in time....it just means that someone is happy to lay them at those prices (at very small amounts).

Edit : to illustrate, I have just altered the back price on Kane to 5.8. I wouldn't have been able to do this if there was any notable liquidity.

Good point. Just have to hope he doesn't come on for a one pointer! As you say though, decent chance of a longer cameo if scores stay as they are.
