Best Transfer Window Signings (Fantasy Football)
So who are the best signings purely from a ff perspective?
As in likely to start where they didn't start before?
As in increased output??
More thinking of players moving clubs, and not really the obvious superstars we know will start/arestarting i.e. Pedro.
Starter for 10 -- Holy Moses @ Wet Spam??

Re: Best Transfer Window Signings (Fantasy Football)
I still think there are better options than Evans at cheaper prices. West Brom are one of the worst 3-4 teams in the league, I just don't see them keeping many clean sheets even with dinosaur Pulis in charge. They were lucky to get a draw at Watford and got lucky again with Stoke's 2 red cards. We don't even know that Evans is nailed on starter and several 4.5m defenders have more attacking potential.
nothing happened to make me want to change my plans right away, a few like KDB are wait and see.

Evans, yes.
Lindegaard to WBA also interesting - does this maybe tell us something about Foster's return prospects?
Dyer to Leicester an interesting one too. He's had spells in last couple of years where he's picked up loads of points. He'll also suit Leicester's fast up and at 'em style. If he can establish himself in that team he could be a good 4th or 5th mid option

Nathan Dyer @ £4.8m, if he gets in the starting 11 he could be a great 5th choice midfielder

Evans only issue is he's injury prone, and that unfortunately won't change.Valeron wrote:I still think there are better options than Evans at cheaper prices. However, when he does play, he'll be nailed on, will greatly improve WB's clean sheet potential, and will score bonus points when those clean sheets come.

Martial if he turns out to be nailed on striker. 8m for a United striker is cheap.

Rooney is a much better player than Martial and he struggled to score goals in that team. £8m for an unproven 19 year old in a team playing defensive football is awful value as it stands.gallus wrote:Martial if he turns out to be nailed on striker. 8m for a United striker is cheap.

Intrigued to know which lesser priced defenders. It would be nice to hear you sharing the names on who you are thinking about . thanks.

Re: Best Transfer Window Signings (Fantasy Football)
Who do we this that the new Saints centre back Virgil van Dijk will replace - Yoshida or Fonte?
Bit annoying for my Saints blocks if they rotate all three
Hopefully he's just there as a back up but at £13m I doubt it

Obviously Yoshida will be benched. But remember, there's this guy called Caulker too. They played with 3 CBs vs Watford Yoshida-Fonte-Caulker. Could they use 3 CBs in the future too (van Dijk - Fonte - Caulker)? Who knows...jimwinn wrote:Who do we this that the new Saints centre back Virgil van Dijk will replace - Yoshida or Fonte?

Yoshida isn't very good, I think he will be fourth choice before too long.jimwinn wrote:Who do we this that the new Saints centre back Virgil van Dijk will replace - Yoshida or Fonte?

Once VVD has found his feet he will be starting alongside Fonte 100%. No rotation.
As for the thread I'm keeping my eye on a couple of Ex Southampton players, Antonio and Dyer, both very similar in style and I think both will do well if they get the game time.
No one else really appeals.

With everyone fit we will stick to 433/4231.nufctoon wrote:Obviously Yoshida will be benched. But remember, there's this guy called Caulker too. Forster
Cedric VVD Fonte Bertrand
Classie Wanyama Romeu
Mane Pelle Tadic
For the tough games, then easier games will be:
Forster
Cedric VVD Fonte Bertrand
Classie Wanyama
Rodriguez Mane Tadic
Pelle
Things can change but with all our midfielders (JWP and Davis too!) I'd be really surprised if we played 532/352 much

I thought that too until Tadic got dropped at HT in GW2. How nailed on do you think he is?
Lots of rotation with J-Rod and Long?

Tadic had some abnormal blood problem that made him really tired which is hopefully sorted now, that was the reason he missed a few games.Stemania wrote:I thought that too until Tadic got dropped at HT in GW2. How nailed on do you think he is?

There is a lot of competition for the front three/four. Personally I wouldn't pick Tadic or Jay Rod.

wt f, just because he scored that free kick? Seems to me you never heard of him before, otherwise you would never state that M'Vila is a good FPL signing.Goal line wreck wrote:Best fpl signings imo.

Unless 'Arry tried to sign him, then he can not be regarded as being top classmath! wrote:Hey now he was top class in FM years ago. Arsenal tried to sign him too I think.

He was a regular starter in the French NT 3-4 years ago and was very promising. He did a mistake going to Rubin Kazan IMO.math! wrote: Hey now he was top class in FM years ago. Arsenal tried to sign him too I think.
I haven't seen him play in quite some time but he should be a decent defensive midfielder. Don't even think about him for you FPL team though

Well big clubs wanted him back then, now he plays for Sunderland (no offense to them), so he must have done something wrong (from a football point of view). I'm sure he's happy with what's on his bank account thoughCurmudgeon wrote:Apart from being able to buy a smallish Caribbean island, you mean?asm_fanz wrote: He did a mistake going to Rubin Kazan IMO.

M'Villa is not a bad player, but he's a DM so he's useless in FPL.
