Hardly think this is worthy of another thread but if anyone fancies wallowing in self-pity just a little more...How many goals have you got in total in the first 5 gameweeks?
A paltry 4 for me.

Should have been brave enough to go Mahrez this week but after Aguero's goals on international duty I thought he may have found his scoring boots again

Haz 4,
Rooney 4,
Aguero 4,
Aguero 4,
Aguero 2
Since Aguero came back GW2 I've been scared into not captaining him for risk of a massive score. This week I am not going to (C)!

Same! We also chose the same captains right through.Terry Henry wrote:4, 18, 4, 4, 2

Yes, Monsignor. I can barely believe it myself. It can't last - can it? If only the rest of my squad were half as good!Monsignor wrote:

I voted Payet in the GW5 captain poll, and then took a yellow-bellied wobbly on Saturday morning and went with Aguero. It's the fear of being left behind by not picking Aguero more than it is anything based on form or fixture there.

I watched 3 Leicester pre-season games and Mahrez was untouchable, a different level - like Silva on steroids, a vastly different player to last season.. so I took a chance on him and bingo! He just looked too good to ignore. I don't know what they're putting in his tea.tsubasa_sama wrote:How on earth did you have the bottle to do that in GW1? :p

1. Hazard 4
2. Sanchez 10
3. Sanchez 6
4. Aguero 4
5. Sanchez 6
So no luck with my captain picks yet.

Yeah, I'm guessing neither Aguero nor Sanchez will get overwhelming support this time around. The Toon Man wrote:GW6 poll will certainly be an interesting one

Re: Captain Watch: How are your captain picks doing?
With Arsenal and Chelsea playing each other, and Aguero possibly not fully fit, it'll certainly be an interesting one.
Maybe Silva's not a bad shout (if I hadn't sold him when he got injured). Or even Sterling.
Calum Wilson would be the obvious fixture-based punt this week, although don't know how confident I'd be handing him the armband.
Benteke for those who own him is an option too.

The same stuff they're taking out of Aguero's, Sanchez's, and Hazard's.Mister Talons wrote:I watched 3 Leicester pre-season games and Mahrez was untouchable, a different level - like Silva on steroids, a vastly different player to last season.. so I took a chance on him and bingo! Probably the best gw to stick the armband on them for that very reason.Monsignor wrote:Yeah, I'm guessing neither Aguero nor Sanchez will get overwhelming support this time around. The Toon Man wrote:GW6 poll will certainly be an interesting one

Re: Captain Watch: How are your captain picks doing?
I don't know, one is (maybe) just coming back from a knock and the other is playing away at Chelsea; also, both have been relatively ineffective in terms of finishing so far, so I think a good case can be made for going with one of the in-form players with favorable fixtures.NoEyeDeer wrote:Probably the best gw to stick the armband on them for that very reason.Monsignor wrote:Yeah, I'm guessing neither Aguero nor Sanchez will get overwhelming support this time around. The Toon Man wrote:GW6 poll will certainly be an interesting one

4-4-4-4-2 for me. Not captaining Aguero until he starts scoring.

Re: Captain Watch: How are your captain picks doing?
Slightly worse than Captain Phillips.
I've had Aguero captain since GW1 - I know if I go with Mahrez this week, he'll hit 4 and get an assist. Why not?
