And he also is the responsible for the Fellaini assist. Be carefull, this guy is on fire and i think he deserves his price in FPL. Thinking to change Silva for him depending on the first runs on the new team.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 4-1-4-1 if I'm being honest, Koralov may be the one to miss out in that system. With attacking positions and space looking more congested.

Not a chance they'd line up with only Yaya holding imo. He's not that kindof player.

I would agree with that, I'd expect Fernandinho to play. I think there is real competition for places in the attacking midfield for City and that no one will nail down the central role almost partnering Agüero. Bony, Touré, Silva, Sterling, De Bruyne could all potentially do it, and well, and I expect them to switch it around depending on how games are going.

I am thinking of brining in De Bruyne if he plays well in week 5, I can get him for Depay with my banked money and so long as he fits in, I do think he's got potential to be heavier scoring than Silva (just because goals).

It could just be the same setup but with KDB on the right and Navas being used instead when they really need width on both sides. I may switch Silva for him if he can hold his spot (and bank that 0.1m profit).

For me it will be the question of Silva or KDB.

Will be an hard one to answer for sure.

The type of goal he scored last night might be the reason why he'll be worth the comparison FPL-wise with Silva. The Spaniard would have never taken that shot and De Bruyne seems to be a more direct player that is likely to score more goals than Silva who will rack up a bunch of assists

This shouldn't even be a comparison. KDB shoots and create chances . I my book that would rate him higher than Silva. He knows the league and like payet the skills that he has in picking out passes is kinda league proof. He's a quality player and like Pedro he might fit in the team and contribute right away. Let's not forget that in his national team he has to compete with various talented players for a spot in the first 11. So maybe he has matured from his Chelsea days.

Silva remains top noch as he has corners as well but he doesn't score that often. The question is for me -4 for Silva or wait 1 week. Should this new acquisition affect kolorov as suggested by some I might go for Silva and KDB depending on the fixtures.

Vágner Love?

He's playing for Corinthians in Brazil these days. Before a recent game against Cruzeiro, the opposition coach was very worried. He said: "Vágner Love will tear us apart."

He was right.

Yeah but he was being benched by a 19 years old boy (if i'm not wrong). He become starter again just because the poor boy needs a surgery and will be out for almost 1 year

I can't really see any argument for bringing him in immediately. For me the reasons against putting him are:

- he is going from a big fish in a small pond to a little fish in a big pond. He won't be the main man at City (at least not initially). A very different dynamic which will probably reflect less goals and assists. See Dzeko - he was Wolfsburg's main striker a few years back, came to City and was just another player. His goals record was nothing like it was at Wolfsburg.

- he may not even come straight into the team initially. With City having performed well Pellegrini may stick with the same team for next few matches.

- high price. At the same price bracket as Silva and over 1m more than Toure and Sterling who are all scoring good points. Is he a better option than those three? We don't know yet.

- where does he fit into the Man City team? Will be replace Navas? Will be be on the right or play behind the striker? We don't know yet.

- the likes of Ozil and Di Maria provide cautionary tales of players with massive reputations that haven't/didn't live up to their billing after moving to the Premier League. KDB is younger and less experienced than these guys. He is an unknown really in terms of how he'll integrate into the Premier League.

So, another 'wait and see' for me. There's no rush getting him in - especially at 10m.

It relates to his time at Chelsea and Mourinho's comments on him. If he hasn't matured enough he might not like where he stands in such a talented team with Silva holding his preferred position and Navas making him a rotation risk.

I'd be very surprised if Navas ever put KDB's place in the team in jeopardy.

I'll happily praise players from opposition teams that I think are great players, however Navas is terrible and lucky to be in that team by default and a lack of better options.

The only bright side of KDB's arrival from Navas' point of view, is that Sinclair was released, meaning Navas now still has a seat on the bench and can continue receiving a paycheck.

Pellegrini isn't like Mourinho. KDB will get ample time and minutes to settle into his new surroundings, with Navas relegated to league cup appearances.

Whilst no one can be certain of KDB's impact (although I'm tipping him to make an immediate impression), one thing I think we can be certain of, is he'll be a nailed on starter with Navas offering little to no threat for places.

KDB basically offers Pellegrini the skill and quality of Nasri, with the pace of Navas.

Nasri is the only player who may from time to time threaten KDB and Sterling's minutes, but I only see this happening as late substitutions once the match is already decided.

Navas will be back in Spain next season, or even in January if MC supporters are lucky. :D

Poor Navas is getting a lot of stick. He's a low profile player ok. He's a one trick pony ok. But i find him to be very good at what looks to be a simple job : taking the ball forward and opening up defences. His abilities as an all round player are limited as he's specialised in being a pacey winger. I honestly do not think you should see KDB as an upgrade to Navas. KDB is a better player overall than Navas. But on the particular skills of a pure winger, Navas is ahead. There are games where Navas will be key and irreplaceable. Expect him to play a fair bit of remaining games.

We must be watching two very different players named Navas.

The one I watch does have all the pace in the world, however all he can manage to do with it is beat players and then proceed to send balls into the stands or into opposition players ankles.

Pace isn't everything, and I could name at least 10 better 'wingers' currently playing in the league who play for worse teams and aren't even nailed on starter.

The lad is simply pants, sorry.

again i think you're being too radical about him. Dont want to write too much as this is a topic about KDB but i don't see 10 players having similar combination of pace, technique and defensive performance than Navas. I agree that his end product can improve but he's doing a great job on the wing and creating lots of space for Zabaleta. His control of the ball is excellent and he's got an exquisite touch at times.
Beyond opposing an unfair treatment of Navas what i'm trying to say is Navas has some particular skills on the wing that KDB does not have. So saying that Navas out KDB in is in my view a big shortcut.

It's true that Navas is a different player to KDB and even has some qualities the latter might lack (pace to burn, stamina, workrate; though KDB is no slouch either), but overall, he does not posess the quality to start for a club with City's ambitions. His composure lets him down way too often in the final third and he does not posess the ability on the ball to create a chance out of nothing on his own, which KDB does. He's a decent foil for one-twos, mind.

He is a great option to come off the bench, though, and even start certain games that might require his workrate or ability to stretch the opposing team.

Zabaleta has been doing very well even before Navas arrived and that was with no true wingers in the starting line-up most of the time (4-2-2-2 ish with Silva and Nasri), he'll be fine with KDB in front of him, who has shown that he is more than effective enough as a 'traditional' right winger with great delivery for Belgium & Bremen plenty of times and occasionally for Wolfsburg. I also believe that Silva will nominally keep his central role btw, as it would be less of a switch from the current shape, which is working great so far.

Of course, it's absolutely sensible to suggest that Navas will get games instead of Sterling, Silva and KDB from time to time, but in the best possible attacking line-up, he should be the one to make way for De Bruyne.
