GW4 Wildcard
Thought I'd create a thread for the (apparent) minority who have held off their wildcards thus far - are you pressing the button this week? I'd really love to hold one more week, see the end of the transfer window and navigate any international injuries, but it looks like price drops will force my hand; Hazard and Kane are set to drop, and Mane just got injured.

Re: GW3 Wildcard
Having planned on holding off a while longer yet, I've just pulled the trigger. Too many areas in my team I'm not happy with, and a poor points total which wouldn't justify the hits required to address said areas. I'm also conscious of the fact my team value is only going to head in one direction, and don't want to risk pricing myself out of the players I want by continuing the patient approach..

Re: GW3 Wildcard
Pulled the trigger at full time in the games yesterday but concerned I'm not going to get the rises I was looking for.

Yup, wanted to hold one more week, but patience is not being rewarded this year.
Need Mahrez, Kolorov, and anyone but Pelle, Kane, Mane

Re: GW3 Wildcard
I'm holding. Team value is 100.5m so not too disastrous and not expecting any falls this week (after transferring Rooney out last night). Took a -4 point hit last week and may take another one this week or next week to sort out my remaining major issues (e.g. Mane) or getting a Man C defender in. Also need to spend some of the 4.7m I have in the bank.

Also thinking I'm, reluctantly, going to have to wildcard.

Re: GW3 Wildcard
I think the Mane injury and a further Sakho, Hazard and PVA blank has pushed me over the edge. I can't deal with all of that at once.

Re: GW3 Wildcard
Nor did Hazard.
Bizarrely, it's the Aguero and Silva which have done for me and I'll be keeping them on my wildcard.

The stats are dark and full of errors.
Re: GW3 Wildcard
Yeah I basically wildcarded to get Silva and the he really did blank. Although it's more of a medium term move given their fixtures.

Re: GW3 Wildcard
I wanted to hold onto my wildcard but I have played it. People that have played their wildcards are pulling away and I need to sort out my defence as ive only had one clean sheet so far. Very annoying but I think I can justify the wildcard with amount of transfers I want to do and 3 game weeks at least gives me with idea on form.

Re: GW4 Wildcard
Active.
Currently on:
Romero / Mignolet
Darmian / Sagna / Prödl / Gomez / Martin
Yaya Touré / Mahrez / Albrighton / Sánchez / Özil
Agüero / Wilson / Gomis
I'll choose one of those goalies by the end of the week (prob Mig), and may well dump out the defender from the team that stays (don't fancy Gomez to stay in the team indefinitely anyway). Midfield is the big question for me: Sanchez, Yaya, Pedro, Silva are the big question marks. Plus I may have to switch out of my racy Leicester midfield block.
My choice to wildcard was based on the excessive price drops this season. Usually I'd be able to give people time if they didn't click immediately, but this season it seems like I'd end up losing £1m if I didn't act quickly.
My RMT in case anyone wants to comment: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=118238

Re: GW4 Wildcard
I was thinking of wildcarding into a 352 with so many midfielders to choose from and not many strikers setting the world alight but now im considering the usual 343 with the likes of Wilson , diouf, gomis tob choose from along side aguero and prob benteke

Re: GW4 Wildcard
Subject to anything big happening in the next half an hour or so, I think I'm about there with my wildcard team.
Well, 12/15 positions are set at least. And I have three very specific options to potentially fill the remaining three.
Can't believe I have got to this stage so quickly. So unlike me and my indecisive nature.

Re: GW4 Wildcard
I've concentrated on teams that have a nice block of 7-8 weeks with a 5-6 nice fixtures. These (imo) are Man City, Liverpool, Stoke then padded out the rest.
I simply need to climb my ML table for 6-7 weeks whilst planning subsequent moves.
Would love Silva also but cannot bear to risk dropping Hazard. Thoughts?

Take Hazard out - at least until the end of the gameweek. He is due a dropumistboy wrote:My team has been horrific so far and firmly bottom of my ML on 89 pts after 3 gw's. Planned on holding onto my WC like I always do but have had to play it - can't fall too far behind.
