Usually I'm pretty determined waht to do, but now I'm lost. What would you do, play 1 of the following.

Francis (LEI)
Milner (WHU)
Payet (liv)

First I was with Francis, now I've changed to Payet, and I'm not convinced to throw Milner completely out of the equation either.

Play one of those? Well you rule out Francis IMO and then pick between the two midfielders. Probably Milner as he's at home.

Thanks, I guess the home factor is in the favour of Milner. Surely he is "due" to get an assist (at least) in any game now. :D

I've had the same benching decisions. gone same as you. Richards, Kolarov, Gomez to play and Darmian, Targett on the bench.
I would do the same. Would be tempted by Targett over Payet too, but not sure I could justify benching a 7.5m midfielder on set pieces, albeit one unlikely to get a result. You would be pig-sick should he register any returns.
yeah my thinking as well. I always prefer to play the midfielder over the defender in general. true, targett has decent clean sheet chances but southampton can easily concede anyway and as soon as i they do we're immediately looking a 1 or 2 points for the week most probably. I always prefer the potential points someone like Payet can notch up. i think he could easily get something out of this game even though its liverpool

Torn between benching Target/Gomez or Lukaku.

What's people opinions on playing a def over a striker?

Agreed. Easy decision. Lukaku is in good form, and Spurs haven't looked too solid defensively so far. You should be starting an 8m striker every game regardless, for me.

For this week I have a front 8 to choose from of...

Pedro (a-EVE), Silva (a-CPL), Payet, (H-NEW), Lens (H-SPU), Mahrez (H-AVL)

Aguero (a-CPL), Wilson (a-NOR), Gomis (a-WAT)

If I take Pedro, Silva and Aguero as definites... Payet, Lens and Mahrez all have pretty decent home fixtures... I'm leaning towards benching either Gomis or Wilson, although it does bother me that they're both in scoring form... Decisions decisions

Any thoughts?

All Out Attack?

Might as well play it when you can, as the other two Chips have much more potential benefit in a DGW.

Lens is the easy option imo.

Normally I would agree, but he's had 4/4 attacking returns in games played so far, and home to Spurs a decent opportunity. Whatever I do its going to be uncomfortable.

Bench one of the following:

Barkley home (CHE)
Lukaku home (CHE)
Defoe home (TOT)

Leaning towards Defoe.

Players have a tendency to do well against their former clubs, so on that basis alone I would probably bench Barkley.

All out attack? Why does everyone have such a strong bench?

I have the exact same front 8 with the exception of Sanchez instead of Yaya.

I don't believe in benching premium players, as we pay that premium because they have a greater chance of still returning points despite their fixtures.

So that left my decision resting between Wilson, Redmond, Mahrez and Gomis.

All in form, and all have decent fixtures, however Redmond doesn't have the benefit of pens like the others, nor is he the focal point of his teams attack like you could argue the others are.

Thus Redmond is my first bench warmer.

Hope that helps.

Yeah but that doesn't mean you should have it. Just don't complain that your bench scored 20 points if you have Wilson and Redmond sitting on it.

Azpilicueta (cry) or Francis (nor) ? Can see both conceding so comes down to attacking threat (which I'd favour Francis)

If Koscielny is out they'll both play

Azpilicueta is at Everton.

I'd probably pick Azpilicueta as I think his clean sheet chances are a fair bit better.

Had considered it mate, but thinking i may keep it until later in the season when the front 8 have increased in value or a defensive crisis, maybe im being a bit frugal!

Cheers mate, it does but have a feeling this one will go to the wire.
