Well I have benched Cresswell vs city who ended up with a clean sheet assist and bonus points totalling 12p and Skrtel vs Spurs who got a clean sheet and bonus points totalling 9p, so whoever I bench is guaranteed maximum points -_-

I have one more spot on the pitch.. who should I play in GW13 out of these four?

Lingard WAT (A)
Coutinho MCI (A)
Bellerín WBA (A)
Simpson NEW (A)

Cheers!

I'd personally play Bellerin. Think a cleansheet for Arsenal will be on the cards.

I'd play Bellerin and Coutinho personally, how are 5.9mil and around 8mil players like that being considered for the bench?

I messed up this week - giving Mane the early boot after being trolled too much (but did catch Coutinho's rises). Then the Payet injury was confirmed at 3 months despite looking not so bad when I watched it on MoTD last Saturday night - I was gonna hold onto him in the hope he would just be out for 1 or 2 weeks.

Anyway, I'm considering taking my hits to -8 for this week by bringing in Hennessey (SUN - H, NEW -H) for McCarthy after already doing
Mané  Coutinho
Payet  Lingard

Good question! However I would say that none of their fixtures sound great for decent FPL points returns.. perhaps I will risk Bellerin (WBA - A) for Rojo (WAT - A) now his flag has been removed??

Current team screenshot might make my dilemma clearer..

On the upside, I now have enough in the bank to slot both Kane and Aguero straight back in for Pelle and Vardy when their fixtures / performances head south.
But first will look to offload Cedric  Moreno for GW14 and then look forward to hopefully reaping back my numerous TV driven hit points from my then fairly decent team.

Assuming all are fit/playing (and the choice isn't made for me) - I need a front 7 out of 8 please (1 player to be benched):

MID - Ayew (BOU), Mahrez (new), Sanchez (wba), KDB (LIV), Barkley (AVL)
FWD - Lukaku (AVL), Pelle (STK), Vardy (new)

Very tough one and wouldn't feel comfortable benching any of them. Would lean towards either Ayew or Mahrez.

Bench one of Huth (new) or Janmaat (LEI)?

NB: I will be starting both Mahrez and Vardy.

I think in that position I would bench the Newcastle defender if it was anyone other than Janmaat, but think his attacking potential probably swings it when clean sheet chances will be relatively similar for both players. I'd bench Huth.

Tough, but I'd bench Barkley.

Double up on Palace defence this week?

Butland (Southampton away) or Hennessy (Sunderland home)
Alderweirld (West Ham home) or Souare (Sunderland home)

Butland has been class so far, but I'm leaning towards Hennessy and Souare.

I'd drop Alderweirld, without Payet we'll struggle but still think we'll score.

I'd probably bench Alder. Kolorav might concede, but is a constant offensive threat. Bellerin and Rojo faces teams who does not score that much, and should have a chance of a CS.

Moreno, for me. Be surprised if either kept a clean sheet, but he has more attacking threat. Wouldn't totally rule out the chance for an assist.

hmm Sagna vs Ward. Clean sheet odds gives a slight advantage to Ward, but i kind of want to start Sagna anyway.

Really tough! Ayew is up against a much more lenient defence, but Coutinho is the better player in a better side. If forced, I would probably bench Coutinho due to being away and having a much tougher fixture, but I wouldn't be particularly comfortable about doing so.

Sometimes as good a method as any!

I've just seen you transferred Coutinho in this week, which could be another nod toward playing him I guess. Personally I always feel a bit uncomfortable benching a player I have just brought in. Bournemouth at home is about as good as it gets fixture wise at the minute though, so if ever Ayew is going to re-discover his early season form there is a good chance it might happen today.

Sorry, I realise this is probably no help whatsoever in making the decision  Maybe a coin toss is the way to go?
