Is it completely ridiculous to bench Martial?
IF United turn up and play half decent football I can't see him not being involved in the points somewhere. I don't think that's such a big IF this season either.
Probably even better chances if Koscielny is out.

I will be playing him.

I need to choose between Gomis and Ayew for the bench in my team.
I think Gomis makes way this week.
Thanks for the advice, i'm actually now leaning towards benching Pedro to allow Martial & Redmond to play. He's on borrowed time anyway and while I don't like benching such a high value player, the other two look better options.

I'd agree with your assessment of Gomis making way.

i think its slightly conservative to say Westwood's expected return this week is 2.5 points. Is an AoA worth 2.5 points? I would say it is. edit: this is presuming your other mf/forwards play.

So I think you take a hit for a defender or you play the AoA.
This, but for me it depends on which defenders you have (are they long term dropped/injured) and whether you can actually find a good defensive fixture this week to jump on.
My defence is Kolarov, N.Taylor, Haidara, Muniesa, Targett. Will bring in Davies but is it really worth it for a hit? Was going to wait

Midfield is Sanchez, Silva, Ayew, Mahrez, Westwood

Tough one. WB defence is doing well on the road, so could be a tight game.

Ayew has lost a bit of form but needs to step up to get anything from a Spurs side full of confidence.

I'd lean towards Ayew as I think it will be a more open game, but really a coin toss.

Yeah, coin toss is probably a good description. I have Ayew playing at the moment. I was considering playing AOA and dropping Bellerin or Evans but figured I could save that in case there comes a week where I'm really struggling in defence.

Sinclair at home to Stoke or Mane away to Chelsea?

Might even use AoA chip

I don't think it's worth a hit this week. I'm in a similar position, with Gomez and Targett and whilst I've been wanting to move Gomez on for the last two weeks, more serious issues have got in the way. Next week looks better from potential replacements fixtures so I will probably prioritise Gomez next week, and consider a hit for any further injuries.

Would you would go for Westwood with AOA then?

Well, I've got a similar choice in Whittaker or an AOA with Surman, but I'm keeping the AOA for near the end of the season probably.

I have Bellerin, Francis and Richards who are not red-flagged. Bellerin is a save pick, but both Francis and Richards have rather tough fixtures (if Chelsea away is still a tough game :) ).

I'm quite sure I'll use 2-5-3 chip and have one of my defenders rested. Which one should be benched - Francis or Richards?

Play Francis, for me. Unlikely either will keep a clean sheet, but he has a significant attacking potential at least.

The problem with this 253 is one of those "5" is Mahrez, who may be benched by Ranieri. I this case both Francis and Richards would play... Anyway this chip seems to be the least valuable of all three and such a situation looks perfect to use it, don't you think?

Personally I think the doubts around Mahrez are unfounded.
They're no doubt well intentioned but, in my opinion, a tad overthought.

It could happen but it looks really unlikley to me and I would not be basing my strategy on the assumption that he won't play.

Skrtel (Spurs A)
Cresswell (Palace A)

This is just my 1st bench spot incase Evans doesn't play. Cresswell also has a slight doubt I believe. Leaning towards him I think

who should I start. Ighalo or redmond?

had the same condredum last week and I went with redmond. Luckily mahrez didn't play and ighalo came in for me. I know redmond is a rotation risk but hes faving NEW and Ighalo is playing against Arsenal

No idea. Obviously injured last week and now rated as "orange" by FPL

So you're saying he's fit, but has a bad spray tan?

I could probably think of a few that I would not object to looking at for a prolonged period... only if pushed, of course...

That's a real tough one! Both will struggle to keep a clean sheet (but still have a chance), and yet offer decent attacking potential... I'd be happy to start either. No other options?
