In future it would be great if it was ensured thread title not non-descriptive as outlined in the forum rules. On this occasion I have simply merged the thread with the thread that essentially acts as our FPL-relevant breaking news thread.

In addition I have removed the unnecessary back and forth which followed upon some posters' critisisms of the title.

Well now I have read those three pieces of news a total of three times - first in FFS Twitter account, then in the original FISO thread and now from this nugget-thread.

Usually FFS Twitter account includes most of the relevant FPL news.

Anybody know if Silva was named on the bench at all last night?

Early days still but can't really afford for him to miss his 3rd GW

Anyone heard news of why old forum favourite Cedric didn't make the XI last weekend? Rested or just lost his place?

Thought he lost his place as he wasn't trusted against Depay

Koeman said he didn't start Cedric as "his qualities are more attacking whereas Maya (Yoshida's) are more defensive".

Not the end of the world if you're a Cedric owner as he'll still be picked for the easier games where you'd be starting him anyway.

Thanks - I missed that. Bit annoying and probably a transfer somewhere down the line if the issue persists. You want your 5.0s to be starting every game.

I certainly would have taken Myhill from the get go had I known he was locked in until the holidays. Fortunate break for those who have him.

Luckily for non-owners he is not likely to get CS in his next two fixtures according to Paddy Power.

Not that they seem to appear to loom large in these forums, but Stones and Coleman are iffy for Monday, and Martinez is talking up Barkley.

[Although Rodgers was doing the same about Lovren a couple of weeks ago . . . ]

I think they give us a good perspective of the likelihoods.

Or if you don't think so, then I think you are going to bet some real money on those odds that you think are too high?

Bookies odds should be distinguished from gambling odds. The former reflects the wisom - or otherwise - of crowds (and bookies don't lose money) whereas the latter reflects statistical probability, for example, of a ball dropping into a specific roulette wheel slot.

Did they say at the press conference that Silva is out? If so, I think I'll take a hit for De Bruyne.

That site doesn't seem very official, although it says that this James Robson person is at the City training ground today so it doesn't bode well for Silva.
