Ah cheers. Sounds likely to start then? If he was rated as 50/50 with a cameo from the bench likely I probably would have benched him.Tall Paul wrote:Spurs press conference was yesterday. Pochettino said that he expects Alli to be fit for the game tomorrow.

#SaintsFC boss @RonaldKoeman with an injury update ahead of Saturday's game against #WHUFC – https://t.co/Ou3eMbGVxz
May not be word perfect but Koemann said something like
'Matt Targett had an ankle injury yesterday in the training session, it's nothing serious but not available for tomorrow'
The few pertinent seconds are on the link above

Stoke presser
We're a little bit light in personnel.Philipp had an issue on Tuesday but we think the extra 24 hours has helped it settle. He had a real bang on the outside of his calf at Palace and before the game started at Old Trafford he had some discomfort. He tried to give it a go but couldn't do it in the end. It's difficult as if he stayed on it could have done him further damage. As it is he has a better chance:
Ryan isn't available and Geoff isn't it. Pieters had a knock and we'll see how he is. We'll probably get Ryan back next week and we're hopeful that Geoff will return in a similar timeframe as well.

Re: The FPL Press Conference News Nugget Thread 15/16
Newcastle have 12 players injured and Lascelles suspended.
The only two available CBs are Colo and Steven Taylor and will start McClaren confirmed. Though Colo is carrying a knock and Saylor has been out 6 months, is miles away from match readiness and has only played 60 mins in a 6-0 friendly loss to Sunderland last week since August.
All 5 Newcastle players who can play LB are out (Dummett, Haidara, Colback, Mbemba, Mbabu) - McClaren says he hopes a plan for LB comes to him in his sleep - his actual quote.
It's funny, every Newcastle fan has been screaming that we really need to buy defenders for 3-5 years now. How can a club spend over 80m in two windows, yet a week after the second window shuts have one fully fit available defender at the club? Never mind that he's the defender who spends most of his time way to far forward on the right to get back in time to actually do any defending.
Doumbia, who was btw on the bench last game, only trained for the first time today and won't be ready to start.
Got to love being a fan of the toon...

Unlikely, from what I have read, as all he actually apparently admits to doing was kiss a 15 year old girl.eastcentral1 wrote:So, Adam Johnson is going to jail then.
Recommended sentencing is non-custodial, ie community service.
On the other hand, he could be given a death sentence for inappropriate behaviour on an internet forum.

Actually, he'll may have to do some time for the grooming charge; the courts get more upset about what you do online than what you do in the real world.
[They probably can't make the other two charges stick, otherwise he'd have coughed to them as well.)

My 'man in the pub' info from someone within the youth setup of the club is that the grooming is over the phone and there is a fairly hefty text chain between him and the girl - also asking for her to bring her friends with her. He (and SAFC) have known he's going to be bang to rights on that charge since the initial arrest.

United look better going forward now, than they did when so many decided to buy him last time; and he's cheaper. As he's very likely has a blank in GW30, it's not worth considering right now.
Martial with a double game week coming up, against Vardy with no DGW starts to be worthy of consideration if they look good.

Doesn't sound too serious but looks like he might miss out the first EL tie and the FA cup match too.

“We expect Mousa to be [out for] longer than Harry – 10 days to two weeks. It’s not a big issue but similar to before. It’s small but we have a lot of games ahead so it’s come at a very bad moment. Harry Kane will be available for Sunday – we expect and we hope he’s available. Today he wasn’t here because he saw the specialist about his nose. On medical advice, it’s impossible for Harry to play tomorrow. In the last few minutes against Crystal Palace he played with a broken nose. Today we need to fix the problem – it’s impossible for him to play tomorrow but he’s available for Sunday.”
Pochettino (yesterday)
Sakho, Reid and Carroll back in training for West Ham. Tomkins and O’Brien out. Valencia still being assessed.
Sakho “will need more time”, while Reid and Carroll “will hope to play some part in the games that we have got coming up next week.”
Sakho began training this week, and he needs more time, but Andy is back too. Winston has begun training as well, but maybe won't be available for Saturday. It is positive with the players coming back."

Chris Smalling and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson not in United's 18 man squad tonight. Both injured. Wait for more news post match from LvG
Bilic says “it is likely” that West Ham’s home clash with Man United will be moved to GW37
Ranieri on replacing suspended Simpson at RB: "I can put Wasilewski in again or Amartey or Albrighton. I think (Amartey) is ready (to play)"
Ranieri: "Jeffrey Schlupp has come back and now trains fully with us. It’s good to see him come back.”
Sanchez Flores admits he is having a tough job selecting the matchday 18, let alone picking the first XI. He left a fully-fit Nathan Ake out of the squad completely against Leeds.
“I prefer this kind of situation,” said Sanchez Flores. “I am happy with Ake and happy with Holebas and I have confidence in Anya. This position is completely covered. It’s difficult as Ake and Holebas are at the same level. They have different qualities but are a similar level. It’s difficult to choose.”
