Re: Walcott
That was obviously said with some humour.
The comment is meant to illustrate that to suggest Arsenal and Wenger have got one over Walcott and his representatives is a very basic view of negotiations we are not privy to.

He doesn't even have to play football, he just gets the cash!Carlos Kickaball wrote:Yeah, I'm surprised Walcott fell for it too. They tricked him into earning loads of money for playing football, how fiendish.

Re: Walcott
You're probably right, but if we start from the premise he wants to be a real football player, I'd say he's been mislead at some point.Carlos Kickaball wrote:That was obviously said with some humour.

And so the Walcott saga continues. I think he has a good scoring record against Newcastle.

He might be 5.0 by Christmas. I wonder what the most any player has dropped in price is.

Well that game will surely convince Wenger he needs to buy another striker.

Re: Walcott
Yeah too right, but don't think they're going to challenge for much without one, how much longer can Wenger keep treating the Gooner transfer funds like its his own money. Splash the cash man.

Re: Walcott
It's astonishing that they've only spent money on Cech this window with 2 days to go. Even Newcastle have spent over £40m more than Arsenal!!!muldoon wrote:Yeah too right, but don't think they're going to challenge for much without one, how much longer can Wenger keep treating the Gooner transfer funds like its his own money. I'm secretly hoping Wenger goes for another attacking midfielder as he always does, and pushes Sanchez up top instead.

Re: Walcott
Walcott is absolutely rubbish upfront period. It's clear to me now as an Arsenal fan that new contract not only meant big (undeserved) money, but a demand to be played as striker. That's why he's being benched unless it's instead of Giroud.
Absolute joke really, one of my most disliked players to ever put the shirt on.
Edit: But arguably even worse from Wenger's side.

Re: Walcott
Agreed, its mad, especially as they were expected to challenge this year. Those rose tinted specs of Arsene's are something to behold!
Maybe now he'll do some Spurs style last minute panic buy some cr*p, they can have Adebayor for cheap , in fact as a Spurs fan I'd pay Arsenal to take him

He's saying that over the course of a season Walcott managed 3 goals & 2 assists.
Travatron was just lucky enough to have him in his team that day

This is probably a good example of a thread that should be moved to general football talk.

Anyone ready to get burned again ? Started last 5 games, been playing really well, arsenal back to scoring form. Attractive price as well 8.6.
