City fans booing for Champions League hymn is disgusting. You are allowed to hate UEFA but that is not a correct way to protest. Why don't you skip the whole match if you hate UEFA so much?
It's my dream to hear that hymn when my team walks to the field in Champions League match, if that ever happens I swear I won't be booing.

I think it's hilarious and a perfectly ideal way to tell uefa to shove it.

I think UEFA Champions League is the most glorious club tournament in sports and that hymn is epic. Not everything UEFA touches is shit just because it's UEFA.Moist von Lipwig wrote:I think it's hilarious and a perfectly ideal way to tell uefa to shove it.

Well who else decided to play an away tie in Russia behind closed doors after fans had already forked out for travel and hotels, then refused to compensate them. Who else decided that was an appropriate sanction for cska's racial abuse? Incidentally, home fans got into that game.Finisher1 wrote:I think UEFA Champions League is the most glorious club tournament in sports and that hymn is epic. They then threaten to fine man city for the booing?

1.It is not a hymn, it is an anthem.Finisher1 wrote:City fans booing for Champions League hymn is disgusting. You are allowed to hate UEFA but that is not a correct way to protest. Why don't you skip the whole match if you hate UEFA so much?
2. It is entirely appropriate to express publicly an opinion of the organisation, country or rockgroup an anthem represents.
3. Spectators do not go to football matches to support the organising organisation; they go to support their club
I think it would be an excellent idea if the entire UEFA management were put in stocks on the half way line at half-time of the Champions League Final, and lucky programme holders got to shoot footballs at them. Or airguns even.

I didn't know that, but I know booing to hymn has been an European-wide trend this season, and I think that's hypocritical.Moist von Lipwig wrote:Well who else decided to play an away tie in Russia behind closed doors after fans had already forked out for travel and hotels, then refused to compensate them. Spot on MvL.
I think it's great. A really effective way to protest, live on millions of the world's TVs.
They really get into it too. I first heard it last time out, and was very impressed. Especially when I learnt the reasons.

Just on my phone so too fiddly to find and post but there's some good photos of fans all holding up boo placards when they stayed silent the first time after uefa threatened to fine them.

Does that mean De Bruyne is less of a rotation risk?

City have Sterling and Nasri who are more than able replacements, so I'd say probably not unfortunately.

Last I read he was going to be back in contention for the weekend, suppose the pressers will give us a better insight.

Sakho accepts initial drugs test result, it seems six months suspension likely.

I see Owen 'completely unbiased as long as it's not Bayern' Hargreaves is one of the ht pundits, probably not too pleased but won't let it show, much that is.

Alli is suspended for three games. I think that's great news for me even though I have Alli, because I think it will force some managers to do some hasty decisions, even taking a hit. Hopefully it also lowers Kane's points expectation.
I would have benched Alli anyway this gameweek so it doesn't affect my plans, now I just transfer him out for DGW37.

I feel like Ranieri is setting a pretty good fpl example. He used to tinker with his teams too much and it cost him whereas now with Leicester he doesn't mess around with his team so much and it's working out quite well. Throughout the season I have overtinkered and paid the price but I also kept players whom others either TO'd or benched and benefited from their hauls.
One of my worst examples was when I took out Sanchez for Hazard, the first got a hat-trick the other blanked then made the reverse transfer the week after. It was a carbon copy of the Wilson to Defoe transfer when the former got his own hat-trick.

Leicester's season is full of ironies. The Tinkerman became The Safeman, two skinny guys bossing the most physique league in the world, a cheap team winning the EPL after so much was said about TV money...

Better chance of Sturridge playing against Swansea then?

Surprised that Sturridge is dropped, but hoping he doesn't start the second leg as well, in which case we have a strong Liverpool candidate for GW 37 (finally).

Same here. Although I'll be keeping a close eye on Firnino's minutes tonight. If he completes the game I may consider removing Alli a week early for insurance.Finisher1 wrote:Alli is suspended for three games. Delighted to see Sturridge benched, by the way!

I had considered TC Sturridge in the last DGW but if he isn't the main EL man then a DGW37 TC is a prospect.

Agreed. If he also starts the second leg on the bench that's the likely scenario for me too.math! wrote:I had considered TC Sturridge in the last DGW but if he isn't the main EL man then a DGW37 TC is a prospect.
