Further evidence of why you simply do not sell Alexis.

yes 2 goals and an assist from sanchez today, and should probably have been awarded a penalty aswell.

Two conclusions to draw from the above few posts, for me;
1. Sanchez is a genuine captaincy contender this week.
2. Zouma is pretty likely to be my transfer in next week.

You do realize that Arsenal is playing against a team that half of its board members are in jail, their manager should be as well, and half of the foreigners are afraid for their contracts due to first two points?

Agree with Sanchez though now a real contender.
Pretty much looking settled on KdB as my fall guy.

I'd been wondering about Zouma as a downgrade from Azpi to free up some funds. I hadn't realised how regular he had been (1 game missed since GW3). Not sure I want to do it this week though just before Spurs.Notned wrote:

Yeah he looks increasingly first choice, and will be totally nailed while Terry is out. I'm about all transferred out for this week, but he could be a great call for that 4 game run after Spurs.Aldershot Rejects wrote:I'd been wondering about Zouma as a downgrade from Azpi to free up some funds. Yep, could even double up on Chelsea defence with those games.Notned wrote:Yeah he looks increasingly first choice, and will be totally nailed while Terry is out. I'm just saying it's not a sure thing, as it's easy to think these things are inevitable. Personally I am still quite tempted by Agüero (c).

Bellerin (groin) and Giroud (ankle) both had injury problems which is why they came off and Sanchez didn't apparently.snakzz wrote:Why the hell does wenger never rest sanchez??

AW saying Bellerin 'had a groin problem before' comes across as he's just been out with a groin injury so there was no point pushing him through the full 90 at 3-0, not that he picked up a groin problem during the game.Aldershot Rejects wrote:Bellerin (groin) and Giroud (ankle) both had injury problems which is why they came off and Sanchez didn't apparently.snakzz wrote:Why the hell does wenger never rest sanchez??

As a Bellerin owner it makes me slightly nervous though. The Toon Man wrote:AW saying Bellerin 'had a groin problem before' comes across as he's just been out with a groin injury so there was no point pushing him through the full 90 at 3-0, not that he picked up a groin problem during the game.Aldershot Rejects wrote:Bellerin (groin) and Giroud (ankle) both had injury problems which is why they came off and Sanchez didn't apparently.snakzz wrote:Why the hell does wenger never rest sanchez??

Re: The Rounded Keeper - FPL Pub Talk & Matchday Banter 2015 - 16
Wenger said he preferred to take Bellerin off over Sanchez as he was just coming back from the groin problem. So he didn't aggravate it, just came off as a precaution so he wasn't at risk of aggravating it. In other words, protecting Bellerin in his recovery took precedence over giving Sanchez a rest that he really never looks like needing.
Wenger also said he tries to rest Sanchez whilst on the pitch by allowing him to take up other positions that don't require him to track back as much during the whole game.

Hart, Sagna, Demichelis, Otamendi, Clichy, Fernando, Toure, Fernandinho, Navas, De Bruyne, Agüero
Agüero starts AGAIN, as does KdB with Sterling on the bench. Possibly not great news for Agüero and KdB owners.

Pelli really does surprise me all the time - probably deserves to lose him for six months. I know he may be under orders to prioritise the champions league, really think they'll struggle fielding understrength teams in the prem.

Genuinely surprised to see Aguero start. I know he is their only recognised striker for the Champions League, but I would have thought it would make more sense to field a 'false 9' given that they are already qualified. Here's hoping it has positive rather than negative consequences, and he comes through unscathed with increased match sharpness.

As a non-Aguero owner who loves seeing him play, I can look forward to this without hiding behind the sofa.
