Re: Player price predictions thread
Gooberman's predictions are quite high compared to last season. Many players you listed are probably 1.0 lower, but that's just my guess. Btw, if Kane is over 8m in start of the season, I won't buy him.

I've only played the game for three or four seasons but would guess that Aguero will be 13? He's so consistent for a good team.
When does the FPL site usually reopen with the new prices?

You will when he eventually gets injured for a couple of months.gallus wrote:Of course he will, but I won't be able to afford 2 premium mids.MoSe wrote:won't he be worth it?gallus wrote:I hope not, that would destroy my team balance.Billy Bongo wrote:I suspect Aguero will be 13

Re: Player price predictions thread
The one price I'm really interested in at the moment is Ritchie. Given Bournemouths nice fixture run at the start.
I think he will come in at a tempting 6.0, but 6.5 could even be on the cards given his record last season.
The likes of Aguero almost don't matter as he will he in most teams anyway, although possibly not immediately.
Hazard I suspect might be a touch expensive (if he loses pens) and I'll be interested to see how they deal with Costas price (no change hopefully).

Re: Player price predictions thread
I think it's also worth keeping a big eye on Fabregas' price too. If Chelsea manage to get in a top drawer CM (someone Pogba-type) as they have been linked with, then we could easily see Fab in the hole all season. Then the question of Chelsea attacking players becomes really murky. Let's just hope they win a few pens in preseason.Mav3rick wrote: Hazard I suspect might be a touch expensive (if he loses pens) and I'll be interested to see how they deal with Costas price (no change hopefully).

Re: Player price predictions thread
What did Suarez go off at last year? He was in the original price list right? I can't recall and the site is down now.
Whatever Suarez went off at is where I would expect Aguero to be priced. Suarez was better the previous year but Aguero has a longer history than Suarez did.

It will be interesting to see how they play it. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure if Aguero was any better on a ppg basis last season than his usual self, it may just be that he avoided injury for longer than previous seasons.SuperGrover wrote:What did Suarez go off at last year? I don't know how much they factor things like that into prices, but once RVP had an injury free time his price shot up.
I guess they price mostly on total points from the last season rather than anything else (as evidenced by Toure last year).

Re: Player price predictions thread
Can't imagine there will be too much in any of the predicted prices for the players listed, in fairness.
It's the budget- mid priced options I'm interested in. With most of us looking at the same pool of big-hitters, I think it's further down the financial scale where the big decisions are to be made..

Did they start drip feeding us prices on Twitter last season, or was that the year before?

Pretty sure prices did start appearing on Twitter last year, can't remember how official/ accurate they were though. Here's hoping they do soon... only so much planning you can do on conjecture, and the anticipation is high!Mav3rick wrote:Did they start drip feeding us prices on Twitter last season, or was that the year before?

Re: Player price predictions thread
How much do we think Sakho at West Ham will come in at? He was already on my radar given their first few fixtures (although Europa rotation could be an issue in latter stages) and he has a first half brace tonight. Could be a good option to begin with in that third striker spot..

Re: Player price predictions thread
I don't think that EL match tells anything because they are playing against team from Andorra (only Gibraltar and San Marino are behind Andorra in UEFA rank). But yes, he was good during last season so I could consider him if he's cheaply priced.Notned wrote:How much do we think Sakho at West Ham will come in at? Suppose you can only score against what you are facing! Don't worry though, I wouldn't base any decision on the games against the Europa league minnows, just seeing his name pop up reminded me!JoonaR16 wrote:I don't think that EL match tells anything because they are playing against team from Andorra (only Gibraltar and San Marino are behind Andorra in UEFA rank).
