Brom Leicester 1 x Chelsea Stones plus a 4m chimp, will be popular I'd imagine. Not sure I can fit in a 5m Hammer defender
Like you say, it's too early to tell but I think transfers after the player lists are announced are likely to have an impact on defensive picks. Remember last year when everyone wanted Vermalen and Vlaar when it looked like they might have gone to man utd.

Everyone jumped on Wisdom when he moved and the same happened with Debuchy and Chambers.

CRD is pretty much all you want from 4 out of your 5 defenders.

Cheapest regular defender, which can be greatly affected by the late transfers.

@Stemania reminded me of the term in another thread a few weeks ago... Seems to have fallen out of common use but a quick search shows that myself and others were using the acronym frequently a couple of years ago:

search.php?keywords=CRD&terms=all&autho ... mit=Search

No it's different from a chimp... It's the cheapest regular defender at any given club not the cheapest in the whole game.

Commentators nightmare... Spreads well to block Ramsey just outside the box but the Arsenal man slips round the back and gets his shot away. Fanni all over the place at The Emirates.

I'll get my coat...

Reported that Andre Ayew has agreed terms with Swansea. This greatly interests me, already existing chemistry with Gomis? He might be quite undervalued as well!

Don't worry about it, you'd not believe the poorly thought out and ill conceived thoughts most of us post week in, week out.

Welcome to FISO by the way :P

Yep don't worry about it, and welcome :D

If Ayew comes as a midfielder and depending on his price, I'll definitely keep an eye on him

Thanks chaps, I have ben lurking in the wings for a season before commenting, so knew some comments existed just didn't anticipate mine to be that early :). Now Ayew has signed I will revise that statement to:

Ayew has now signed for Swansea on a four year deal, if the price is right this should be interesting, hope his reputation doesn't force the boffins to over rate him. Looking forward to seeing how he links up with Bafetimbi :D

Not sure.. Ayew played most of the season as a left winger so I guess that's where he'll play

I can't see him forcing Montero out of the team tbh, can see him central

Andre Ayew looks a great signing for Swansea. How do we rate him as a prospect? Looks intriguing if listed as a midfielder and priced well.

Gomis is one I very much had my eye on. How do we think this transfer affects him? Lessens or furthers his appeal? Similarly with Siggy?

To early to tell, might play up front with Gomis might push Siggy further back

Id say on balance of you want Swans attacking cover go for Gomis

Montero wasn't even nailed on last season though. I think Ayew will get the nod personally - they've essentially got four players (Ayew, Montero, Dyer, Routledge) competing for the two wide spots, I'd play Montero and Ayew personally, with one cutting in from the right, but I don't think Monk will. I presume they'll sell the flop Emnes.

I don't see Siggy in a million years not playing the number ten role. He showed last season how poor he is when deployed deeper. Swansea will surely buy another striker to challenge/oust Gomis, so I wouldn't get too excited about him.

You never know, they could surprise us all and keep Michu yet (unlikely)!

Just catching up with this, and inthe discussion about Ings people seem to have forgotten that Liverpool signed Origi last season but loaned him back to Lille...I think he will be one to watch

Yet to be seen whether Mourinho can bring the best out of him, wouldn't underestimate Mourinho but for fpl purposes he's unlikely to feature

9 goals in 44 games last season says he probably won't be.

Hmmm, didn't think it was as bad as that. Liverpool were quite keen to rescind his loan.
