GW36 Preparation - Offloading Liverpool DGW players

Post by tsubasa_sama »

Going into GW36 there is one game that stands out from all the rest from an FPL perspective: Chelsea vs Liverpool. Most of us will have 3 players from both teams going into GW34. Those who didn't wildcard will likely have only one FT going into GW35, in which liverpool have a very nice fixture at home to QPR. This means that most of us will surely be looking to offload before they face the likely champions away.

I'm planning Murray  Giroud in GW35, but I may need to take a hit to bring back David Silva or possibly Mata for the pool midfielders in GW36as this leaves my budget pretty tight.

What's everyone else's plans?

Already have Giroud. Tempted to bring in Koscielny next week, so I can still field my full quota of Liverpool against QPR, and then bring in an Arsenal mid the week after. Only downside is it would block having two Arsenal mids, but as I can't find funds for Sanchez I don't actually mind that. Think the others will all share the points so it's just choosing the right one. The other issue could potentially mean me having to hold two Liverpool for the rest of the season...

Guess it's one I'll end up just playing by ear.

My plan is to bench Skrtel for GW36, sell Sterling (for Ozil) and play just Coutinho. I've no problem playing Ivanovic, Hazard or any Chelsea asset against Liverpool.

I have Gerrard and Sterling and will keep them for their game against QPR so I will be offloading Bolasie for any Arsenal-mid I prefer next GW. My idea is to then gradually replace my two Liverpool-midfielders over the following two weeks for free (bar a lot of price changes) for Ramsey and Ozil to complement Sanchez in midfield. Should Aguero, Kane or Vardy get injured I will get Giroud instead.

Murray to Giroud GW35
Coutinho to Ramsey GW36

Keep Skrtel and Henderson and rotate Henderson with a 4th defender for the rest of the season (probably) .

I have managed to retain Sanchez and Bellerin so they will provide cover in GW36 as well as GW37 and it means that I can pick my moment to bring in Giroud. Next week, despite having Kane, Aguero and Murray with tough fixtures, is probably a week too soon because I would need to raise funds from elsewhere.

Bring in Giroud next week. Gwk36, Sterling to Ozil or Ramsey and play Dawson away at Newcastle so Moreno can join the permanently benched Bruce and then left with just Henderson.

Good to know that I have basically the same plan as you. Feels like I'm in good company.

I already own Giroud and 2x Sunderland for GW37.

For GW36 I'll be benching Skrtel and starting Vlaar at home to West Ham. Sterling will become Ramsey leaving one transfer to shift Henderson for whoever is looking good.

The next week Fabregas will become Ramsey if he's still fit.

That's the plan until injuries ruin it anyway.

Coutinho  Alexis next week, Fabs  Ozil the week after that. Hendo stays.

I'll likely keep Henderson and Moreno until the end, and Sterling will become Ramsey.

GW35 Murray  Giroud will leave me 0.6m itb
for GW36-37, only have 1 Liv mid in Hendo, who's not upgradable with that sum to an Arse mid
Already kept 1 Arse albeit not the best one in Cazorla

But I went for a double Liv in defence (maybe without great foresight) in Mignolet+Moreno - so I will "probably" swap one of them to a corresponding Arse, will have to choose if Ospina or Bellerin/Kosc
To get a 2nd Arse mid instead, would require a downgrade in the back to fund the Hendo upgrade
I didn't consider to swap out Fab Indeed, in my plan he was ak keeper especially for GW37-38 or I wouldn't probably have got him for Silva this gw in the first place
Moreno/Migno would be in such case the ones to be downgraded/benched to fund Hendo  2ndArseMid

My last big weapon this season is a Sanchez (C) in DGW37. Bet he gets injured.

Vardy  Giroud this week.
Sterling  Ramsey the following week.

Bench Moreno and Henderson against Chelsea.

That's the plan anyhow. It does mean I keep Fabregas for longer than I really want to, but I don't quite have the funds to turn him into Silva in the next couple of weeks.

Already holding Giroud
I'll play my 3 LIV against QPR in 35, so 2FT for 36:
Sterling + Coutinho  Sanchez + Ramsey
