Not sure he'll even play both but if he does then he should do. Actually Goobs you've made me think that perhaps it is worth considering after all and a viable option. I have Bertrand with Spurs at home and maybe i shouldn't have been so dismissive of Bruce after all.gooberman wrote:I have Bruce and will be playing him. It's a close call really and I'm still not entirely sure what to do. For me it would come down to either Clyne or Bruce. I also have Bertrand but the Southampton block hasn't exactly worked out too well so it's a case of do I bench 1 of them in favour of Bruce. Bruce seems fairly assured of playing both games. Even if he doesn't get any clean sheets we could still be looking at 3-4pts in appearance points.liquidfootball2 wrote:Not sure he'll even play both but if he does then he should do. I'll have only 1 FT for the DGW, so each one beyond 3 will cost me a hit
I voted 4 (=1 hit) at the moment
But I'll have to assess better
might even get at 6 at most...
I've 6 now, which means I took 3 hits, yes
3 LIV and 3 CHE too
non-doublers in my current XI:
- Bertrand, Cazorla (who I'll keep for the Arse double)
Kun-Kane-Murray
at the cost of a 4th hit, to add the 7th doubler
I could either do
Murray Vardy (then Giroud GW35 or eventually 36)
or
Ameobi Cambiasso (benching Cazorla this GW)
the problem is that Cambiasso despite his decent future fixtures would end to be the 5th mid on my bench after this GW anyway, and at 0.5m more than Ameobi he'd be a bit expensive for that role -- not considering that after the giroud move I'd be left with 0.1m, should I need an extra hit in the future fot this reason, Cambiasso would have costed -8p and not just -4p
neither justifies the cost imho, so I think I'll stop at 6

I can't make up my mind whether Schlupp is going to be worth a hit or not. I think this week he probably isn't but the 4 points should realistically be reduced to 3 given the DGW.
I'd probably favour him in GW35, 36 and 38 too (over Bertrand, Skrtel, Bertrand) so think it might pay off over the remainder of the season (especially if I pick up an injury elsewhere).

I've tinkered around with my WC... I now have 9 definite DGW starters plus Aguero and Kane plus DGW Bruce as first sub. Attack attack attack!!!

I haven't a wildcard and have five doublers, three Chelsea and two Liverpool plus Bruce who'll probably be on the bench.
I have one ft over and so it may be six with another Liverpool player, although keeping Silva may be better. I'm also looking at Schmeichel as a keeper for the sixth or seventh doubler (seven would be -4) not counting Bruce.

5
Not sure which is the bigger gamble: going with only 5 or taking -8 to increase that number but burden the team with a mountain to climb before I break even? I'm not looking forward to finding out which!

At the moment, 3 Liverpool and 2 Chelsea.
Can't decide if Silva Fabregas is worth a -4 hit.

Re: How many DGW players will you field in GW 34?
I don't think I would do it for a hit personally as City has VILLA, tot, QPR in the next three. Then it is an easy transfer at that point to an arsenal mid for the DGW which would avoid swa, SOT (both stingy defenses) for the final two games. Now if it wasn't for a hit I might consider it more. In fact I am on WC and contemplating that exact move but not sure if I like Cesc over Silva comparing the fixtures side by side.Maradona_Is_God wrote:At the moment, 3 Liverpool and 2 Chelsea.

So anyway I have 9 with 1 on the bench (either Bruce or Albrighton). contemplating Cesc which would be 10

Just the 6 in the end for me. Terry, Hazard, Sterling, Henderson, Moreno, Schlupp.

Re: How many DGW players will you field in GW 34?
Only 5 for me which I'm happy with. I'm surprised at how many people have done hits to bring in Leicester players given their low points potential. They are one of the worst teams in the league and one of their games is against Chelsea with the other one being an away game.
I think people have been too influenced by what happened in the last double game week when Austin, Benteke, Phillips, Zamora etc all got a lot of points. That was a bit of an anomoly and I can't see any Leicester players repeating this.

Well, I wonder how many DGW players are actually fielded now that Moreno, Bruce and Schlupp are all missing at least one of the games.

My rival has Moreno and Schlupp... but McShane 1st defensive sub.
Hope Schlupp is fit for the next game.
