I finish the season with a grey arrow - 7th place. Kind of glad I waited till today to post because yesterday after the games I was feeling a bit disappointed not to have climbed a few places, but now that the dust has settled I realise how ridiculous that was, and I'm absolutely delighted with the top 10 finish. There have been so many messages of encouragement in this thread as I climbed the rankings in the second half of the season, and I really appreciate them all. I wouldn't have finished anywhere near where I did without the help of this forum.

Thanks - first season since 2010/2011, and had always given up by Christmas in previous seasons. Season history doesn't show as presumably my account was deleted due to dormancy.

For once I got off to a good start and didn't need the early wild card to sort out the mess, and then got the benefit of using the WC late on... but still annoyed at that very last transfer - cost me 6 points and a place inside the top 10k.

Ditto, this was my first season in full. Last season i started late but went very far in the cup so it held my interest. Can't be arsed with it again next year. I could be spending my time learning something instead lol. Either that or i'll just take up Fifa

This must be where I'm going wrong - ppl talk about the effort they put in and I wonder what they mean! I spend more time checking the scores over the weekend than I do actually tinkering with my team...

I finished in the top 30k for my best return in since 09/10 and I'm happy with that.

Would have been reasonably happy with that at the start but after dipping under the 1000 mark 3 weeks ago and then having the hideous misery of falling behind 2 other players in the ML over the last 2 weeks has tempered that in a big way!! Still, probably only around 6 weeks until the ghastly trauma all starts again...

Just wanted to add my congratulations to Silkworm - a top 10 finish is phenomenal, I know what you mean about disappointing though but I guess it's natural to think about your mistakes and decisions that haven't worked out rather than your good ones!! Also the last few weeks with the double gameweeks had a lot of potential but just seemed to fizzle out a bit.

6,374 Best season so far for me (4th full season). A little bothered that I dropped out of the top 5K but had to protect the bet so went with Costa rather than my planned Walcott. Next season no crazy bets and the ability to openly discuss plans and strategy on FISO will hopefully see me in the top 5K.

Congratulations silkworm a top 10 finish is a fantastic achievment.Personally my best finish of playing fpl in 5 seasons-finished 2893 and winning £200 in my super league.

Happy with decent finish of 5342, now exactly 500th in FFS live Hall of Fame.

Bit disappointed that I didn't kick on from being 6k after GW17, serves me right for heavily backing Paul Lambert's Villa over the Xmas period I guess.

Must add that this forum helped me a lot this year, I think the quality of the discussion and insight here has definitely improved in the last year.

I finished just inside the top 7k, having been in the top 1k for a few weeks and the top 10k for almost all of the season, perhaps a little disappointing. But in reality it's a great rank that would look good on the majority of records.

I felt a bit better about it when, after checking to see how they did after being reminded of the HOF by Stemania, I realised I beat 4 out of 5 of the top 5 legends in the FFS Hall of fame, they came positions: 277, 7640, 10095, 11138, 37429. It also looks like a lot of other people on here beat many of them too.

Probably my worst season ever.
Not in terms of rank, 6522 is a decent rank. But this is the first season where I could not wait for the season to finish. Was completely out of steam by the 25th GW or so.

Will not play next season. Need a break for a year. Pure FPL-fatigue.
