Re: Who To Bench Thread 2014-15
I have to bench two from:
Rose (mun), Bellerin (WHU), Bruce (lei), Naughton (LIV), Alderweireld (che),
Im currently benching Naughton and Alderweireld but it's a touch call this week.

I'm pretty hopeful that he will. With Villa at home I am willing to risk it. I agree cameos are irritating, but he got an assist last week from the bench, so wouldn't necessarily be disastrous.Notned wrote:Tough call. I am benching Bertrand if it helps. Although that was a fairly easy decision (playing Terry, Bellerin, PVA), so I guess it depends on the rest of your defence really...

I have to bench two:
Clyne che
Rose mun
Wollscheid wba 75% chance of playing
Shaw TOT 75% chance of playing
Baird STK
Currently benching Baird as he will probably sit on WBA's bench. The other one that I'm currently benching is Shaw as I have 3 Tottenham players (Kane, Eriksen and Rose). I would like to play Baird but can't take the risk that he's on the bench and come in to play 2 minutes.

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2014-15
Pre any transfers, I have Austin and PVA currently on my bench.
Only other options to bench are Lescott, Skrtel (any news on that flag)?, Eriksen, Walcott.
Definitely playing -
Ivanovic, Bellerin
Silva, Hazard
Aguero, Kane

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2014-15
True, it is unlikely, but probably no more so than Clyne getting anything away at a resurgent Chelsea. Add in the chance that he may well start and play the full game, and I think it swings the pendulum slightly in his favour.gooberman wrote:What are the chances of him coming off the bench and getting an assist again though?Notned wrote:I'm pretty hopeful that he will. Re: Who To Bench Thread 2014-15
I think I am going to play both of my Spurs attackers, Kane and Eriksen, as Spurs have scored quite a few more than Swansea and Stoke, but I do still have a benching dilemma.
Whom should I play?
Sigurðsson (LIV) - Odds : Anytime goal 7/2 | CS : 16/5 - FFS projection : 3.55
OR
Moses (wba) - Odds : Anytime goal : 16/5 | CS : 21/10 - FFS projection : 2.94
At the moment have Sigurðsson playing, but I can't help but feel the Liverpool defence has been one of the best in the league recently. Would anyone else be tempted to play Moses?

Agree with playing the Spurs attackers. I am doing the same.Carlos Kickaball wrote:I think I am going to play both of my Spurs attackers, Kane and Eriksen, as Spurs have scored quite a few more than Swansea and Stoke, but I do still have a benching dilemma.

With regards to the other two, I would also play Siggy. Looks to be coming back to something resembling top form, and I don't know why but I have a gut feeling Swansea may get something. If they do there is a strong chance he will be in the points somehow.

I'd also play Sigurdsson Carlos, especially if you have a WBA defender.

Thanks guys, very tempted to play Moses, but Sigurðsson is probably the more sensible option so I'll stick with him.

Am I right to go with Downing (ARS away) over Mane (CHE away), even though Mane is in form and scored in the reverse fixture?
AnytimeGS odds are almost identical - 4.60 for Mane, 4.50 for Downing.

I would play Downing simply because of Arsenal defence.
I cant decide on Clyne or Alex Bruce and that is something I never thought id say. I fancy Chelsea to outscore Leicester I think!

I also can't decide about Clyne. But my problems run deeper:redchemist wrote:I would play Downing simply because of Arsenal defence.

Foster is my keeper, Terry is the only defender I'm sure about and I need to bench one of: Wasilewski (Hull H), Clyne (Chelsea A) and Dawson (Stoke H), keeping in mind I have Foster and this mini-block has not served me well in the past.
Any takers?

Bench PVA in my opinion. Less chance of a Kompany cameo appearance than PVA if Kompany wasn't to start.Sammy the Crab wrote:Bench Kompany or PVA?

Play Austin. Liverpool will win but concede as well imo. Siggy the scorer btw Carlos Who would´ve thought that is´s easier to make decisions for other people´s teams than my ownHQ Manoeuvre wrote:Skrtel or Austin

As for me, just brought back JT to lead the defence.
Next to him I DO play PVA. I figue there's a good chance he'll start.
Then as 3rd I currently chose Bertrand, benching Rose (Yoshi 5th, that's not the fixture to risk a double).
1 hr to change my mind...

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2014-15
I have a really difficult choice this week and would appreciate some of your thoughts.
I need to bench one of these
Terry (hul) (I also have Ivanovic)
Alderweireld (BUR) - Looks good for a clean sheet
Koscielny (new) - could get a goal as well as a clean sheet against a weakened defence (i.e lack of CB's)
Cazorla (new) - rotated (again)? but on penalties
Austin (EVE) - usually scores at home
It's currently on Austin but it means playing 4 at the back, which is a rare thing these days

Bench Pantilimon (whu) or Heaton (sou)? The former has the fixture while the latter has the form.

Would personally play Pantilimon. Sunderland will want to keep it tight to try and grind out a result. Plus a change in management often has a galvanising effect in the first game or two.arv wrote:Bench Pantilimon (whu) or Heaton (sou)? The former has the fixture while the latter has the form.
