Knockout rounds?

Just attempted to start a head to head league and I see there is an option for knockout rounds with the options 0,1,2 or 3. Helpfully it doesn't actually say what a knockout round is.

Anyone got any idea? Cheers.

I think it's just an alternate way of finishing the season to crown the champion. 2 knockout rounds would mean the first 4 teams enter semi-finals or if you select 1 knockout round then it's straght to a final.

I've not done this yet myself, so this is just what I assume it is. Maybe someone who has this experience can enlighten us both as I have a question too.

This happened to me in my public head 2 head league last year. It's exactly as you said, there were semifinals and finals with the top 4.

When did they fit them in though? I ask because in a 20 player league you would need to wait until GW38 has concluded for the league to have a set of final standings?

nope, the final 2 gameweeks were the knockout stages for me. I don't know what would happen if you're not in the top 4 though...

So you would need a league of 19 teams for the knockout rounds to work? 36 games and then the Semi-Final/Final

tbh, i don't remember 100% since last year was my first fpl year it's my only experience too.

It might have been 19 teams or i might not have played everyone twice. If you made a league of your own with say 11 people, you wouldn't be able to play everyone the same amount of times either.

Does anyone know from previous years how the draw is made? Is it random or seeded (1st v 8th, 2nd v 7th etc)?
