Good afternoon, all. Farewell after a very decent season. Top 2k I think, even with Cambiasso on the bench, and on my way from the Emirates to the Palace to form a government...viewtopic.php?f=82&t=112434&start=330

Had a comedy final week score of just 30, but even with a huge drop should scrape the top 250, so just an unfortunate end to a great season for me, hope you all have a great summer.

Well done everyone on a great FPL season, some good banter and information, and being a decent community. Have a great summer, but I'm sure I'll see you all on here as soon as any transfer news comes in, the fixture list is announced, or a player has a freak accident with a a lawnmower.

Preston (and Jermaine Beckford) are absolutely destroying Swindon in the League One Play-Off Final. Nice to see them finally put their play-off demons to rest.

Re: The Rounded Keeper - FPL Pubtalk & Matchday Banter 2014 - 15
It's difficult to put into words how crushed I am. My plan with my final transfer was to bring in somebody with potential to be explosive who is lowly owned and to also captain them. I initially planned on Costa but with doubts over Hazard and no Fabregas I didn't feel that he would have good enough supply and I also had a suspicion that Drogba may play being his last game.
I had at this point dismissed Benteke as an option purely because I assumed the chances of him being rested would be high.
So my attention then switched to Walcott and I was all set on doing the transfer but after much deliberation I just didn't feel that he was guaranteed enough to start to risk it. He wasn't in half of the predicted line ups I had researched and also West Brom are supposed to have a good defence. In addition, I saw some quotes from Sherwood saying he would not be resting anyone.
Well you can guess who I went for. I know how close I was to doing the Walcott (c) move which would have meant 71pts instead of 34 which would have got me 2nd in my money league and could also have bumped me up into the top 1k. To add to the tale of woe, I don't have Hazard, benched Kane and had Skrtel getting me -2.
I always find it a rather horrible moment when the curtains draw on another season. Rather similar to that anti-climax type feeling when you come back from a holiday. My dwelling on what could have been if only I had just gone with Walcott is adding to this.
If that wasn't enough today, I have been ill all today with a migraine and my wife has told me she is not happy with our relationship!
Anyway guys, hope you have a great summer and see you all here when the new season starts.

Sounds like you might have more time for ff when that new season starts, though.

The 'ol 'should have done nothing'
Could have left Hazard and Kane in instead of Silva and Benteke

This. A shit end to a shite season. Managed a 2nd and a 3rd in money leagues so at least don't go home empty handed.Razzler wrote:The 'ol 'should have done nothing'

Re: The Rounded Keeper - FPL Pubtalk & Matchday Banter 2014 - 15
Won the cash league at work by 1 point No prize for 2nd either hehe.
Overall ended up 52k, which I'm pleased with after several seasons off and a horrendous start.
Goobs- I'm fairly sure 50% of the reason my wife left me was due to too much time spent tapping away on FF games, take a season off. I wonder how many FISO WAGs have split up with us due to this?! Good luck fella anyway...

Fell outside the top 50k and lost my friends ML after a horrible run in. Glad the (fantasy) season is over. Really disappointed with the way it ended. I'll be back next season though.

Finished just outside the top 10k winning my works ML. Have learnt a lot this year in my first proper season, hoping to better this next season and scoop the work loot again

Re: The Rounded Keeper - FPL Pubtalk & Matchday Banter 2014 - 15
Just about held on for a top 5k finish, but lost my work league by 15 points having been exactly level on points for several weeks, and starting the weekend just 2 points behind, so bit disappointing, but feel I've learned a few things in the last few weeks and looking forward to next season already! Good banter and community on here again these days, have a good summer everyone!

So who are people supporting today?
I rekon Norwich are better prepared for the prem, but personally would like an extra north east derby having grown up 20 mins from Middlesbrough.

As an Irishman I'd like to see the wonderful Wesley Hoolahan back in the Premier League, so I'm quite happy with Norwich being two goals up after just 15 minutes.

Re: The Rounded Keeper - FPL Pubtalk & Matchday Banter 2014 - 15
I'm not overly bothered to be honest, although it looks like Norwich already. Both managers have impressed me and would like to see either having a go at the Premiership.
I am looking forward to seeing how Bournemouth adjust, particularly having seen them in League 2 not so many years ago.

I met someone who's favourite footballer was Hoolahan. I on the other hand just enjoy saying his name.
